Extremadura events stopped a couple in Cáceres for stealing jewels to the old woman to whom the woman took care of

The Civil Guard of Cáceres, in collaboration with agents from the Post of Casar de Cáceres, has arrested two people, a man and a woman aged 41 and 34, respectively, as alleged perpetrators of the theft of jewelery worth 30,000 euro.

The investigation began when an elderly woman reported having been the victim of a theft, for which numerous gold jewelery that she kept in her home had been stolen. Among the investigations, the agents carried out the inspection of numerous stores dedicated to the purchase of gold, located in different towns of the province, managing to find out that some of the jewels that were reported stolen had been delivered to one of these stores.

Continuing with the investigation, the agents obtained the identity of the people who had made the sale, finding out that one of them, a 34-year-old woman, had been hired by the complainant to work in the house in her care and help. .

The free access to the house as a worker allowed her to know the place where the old woman kept the jewels, thus accessing them without raising too many suspicions. After that, and with the collaboration of his sentimental partner, a 41-year-old man, they got rid of them by selling them in 'Buy Gold' stores, for which they would have obtained the amount of 9,000 euros, when the jewels, according to the complainant, they had a value of 30,000 euros.

Both have been made available to the judicial authority of Cáceres.
