Hermès presents its collection for a "new dandy" in Paris

The parade took place in the National Furniture and had, as a background, the tapestries that are preserved in this establishment, projected on huge screens. Again, the decoration was carried out by the director Cyril Teste, who has been working with the French luxury house since the covid-19 pandemic.

Between ancient craftsmanship and the digital age, models walked the catwalk.

The colors of the costumes - green, frosty blue, pale pink, yellow mixed with brown, peat and anthracite - "dialogue" with the motifs of the tapestries.

The scarves are worn in shades of green and violet or red and yellow, and adorn gray suits, accompanied by bronze-colored lacquered ankle boots.

"The idea is that of a 'modern dandy'. After the pandemic, everyone wants to go out, meet people, be attractive and sexy," said Véronique Nichanian, artistic director of Hermes men's collections.

The costume pants are wider and the jackets are elongated; a new silhouette to "make you want" to change the "sportswear", while the suits, with an informal style, give a "sexy" look, the stylist explained to AFP.

At the entrance, FFP2 masks were distributed to all guests. There was no champagne, but still, "doing an in-person show [was] a real pleasure," said Véronique Nichanian.

"During the pandemic, I met and worked with Cyril Teste, a wonderful director. This collaboration allows for a mix of virtual and more classic travel. It gives new formats and allows new expressions," she said.
