Just 35 minutes from the capital of León is Vegacervera, framed within the Arguellos Biosphere Reserve, different jewels create great potential in this area.

The Cueva de Valporquero is the best known jewel. It is one of the most visited places in the province and, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular. The 'sculptures' formed by water over centuries and centuries have created a structure that leaves no one indifferent who visits it.

Located in the town of Valporquero, just five kilometers from Vegacervera, it receives more than 60,000 visitors a year, who enjoy the spectacular nature of this cave.

Returning from this cave in the direction of Vegacervera, the other great archaeological jewel of the town appears. The Hoces de Vegacervera are the 'path' that has managed to cross the water of the Torío River to try to 'reach' the town.

Cheeses, sausages, yoghurts and curds from Coladilla and this cured meat make up the most traditional 'pantry' of Vegacervera, which can be tasted in the different restaurants and inns in the municipality.

Nature, good gastronomy and relax. This is what Vegacervera offers, this is what has made this town one of the benchmarks in rural tourism in the province of León.
