The National Police arrested three women accused of stealing, through carelessness, precious garments for 610,400 pesos to two other people in a jewelry store in the sector of Villa Consuelo, in the National District.
The arrested are Luisa María Matos Patricio, Eliza Calcaño de Méndez and Clariza Santana, residents in Azua, who were traveling in a Honda Civic Gray Jeepeta.
The three women are indicated as the people who last Tuesday, January 11 of the current year, stole a bag containing numerous precious garments that two other women carried to repair a jewelry store located on Duarte Avenue to corner Lieutenant Amado García Guerrero.
The preliminary report of the case indicates that the owner of the jewels delivered the bag to her companion who left them on the counter, which would have taken advantage of one of the three women to take them and pass it to another of the detainees who hid her.
The stolen garments, as detailed by the complainant, are a bracelet, two silver guillos, a clock, two pandora charms, a 14 karat chalate, an 18 karat ring, an oval diamond of 1 1.3 centimeters, and a 14 -klate gold medal, 2.5 grams, all for a value of 610,400 pesos.
