The Belgian royal family is celebrating. This Wednesday, July 21, the country's National Holiday is celebrated, in addition to the eighth anniversary of the reign of Felipe and Matilde. A day that, like every year, began with a Te Deum in the Cathedral of Santa Gúdula in Brussels, as far as the kings have come accompanied by their four children: Elisabeth, Gabriel, Emmanuel and Eleonore. And, as has been customary for a couple of years, the great protagonist of the day has been the heiress to the throne.Princess Elisabeth dazzles in red at Belgian National Holiday Princess Elisabeth dazzles in red at Belgian National Holiday

The Duchess of Brabant, who has just finished her military training, has dazzled on the date with a model from Natan, the Belgian fashion house of which both her mother and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands are such fans. This is a tight-fitting dress made in a red floral fabric with a subtle plunging neckline at the back and puffed sleeves. Princess Elisabeth has combined it with a pillbox-style headdress by milliner Fabienne Delvigne, a matching clutch from the same designer, and nude ankle-tied sandals. The heiress has given jewelry a lot of prominence, with some gold maxi earrings from her mother's jewelry box.

For her part, the queen has opted for a cape dress also by Natan, the firm she has trusted over the years for the National Holiday. He would be the comparable of Felipe Varela with Doña Letizia. Matilde has released for this day a design with a cape made of pink silk muslin, with a flower and foliage print.

Like her eldest daughter, the queen has relied on Fabienne Delvigne for her headdress, in her case a diadem woven especially for her in collaboration with the Brussels Academy of Fine Arts. The queen has combined her outfit with a green clutch by Fabienne Delvigne, nude pumps by Natan and raw leather gloves. As for jewelry, she has opted for diamond and amethyst earrings.

The youngest of the family, Eleonore, has also attracted attention. At 13 years old, the youngest of Felipe and Matilde is quite a young lady, and for this date she has chosen a green dress with jewel appliqués on the neckline and a flared skirt that she has combined with matching ballerina shoes. Eleonore, like Infanta Sofía, has not yet taken the step of piercing her ears to wear earrings.

After this Te Deum, the military parade will be held, in which Princess Elisabeth will actively participate after having finished her military training. It will be in that act when the debut of Delphine -formerly Boël- takes place, who in January 2020 was recognized as the daughter of King Albert II. King Felipe has wanted his new sister to participate in this act with the rest of his siblings, Laurent and Astrid. Delphine will be accompanied by her husband, James O'Hare, father of her two children, Josephine and Oscar.
