Chanel jewelry is inspired by its legendary No. 5 for its high jewelry line

The history of Chanel's No. 5 fragrance is long and very interesting. I would give for a whole book, if we want to focus on her 100-year history. Nothing is further from reality. Its history has endured and will endure since Coco Chanel created it in 1921. On this occasion, Patrice Leguéreau, director of Chanel's Fine Jewelry Creation Studio, has been inspired by this perfume to create a collection of fine jewelry based on the legendary fragrance. .

This line consists of 123 pieces and, each one of them, takes as a reference some of the five timeless motifs of the Nº5: the mythical bottle, the stopper, the number, the flowers that form the aroma or the trace left by the smell of the fragrance.

Among all the creations, a colossal 55.55-carat diamond necklace stands out, inspired, in this case, by the perfume bottle.

The monumental diamond has been precisely cut in honor of the fragrance. This precious stone is mounted on the necklace (with more than 700 diamonds) that symbolizes the perfume codes: the silhouette of the stopper and the bottle. In addition, its closure in the shape of a number five and the cascade of diamonds, set by hand, harmoniously evoke the floral trail of the perfume.

Adding to the list of precious stones are a number of diamonds, white and yellow, and orange, pink and yellow sapphires. All of these design the geometric silhouettes of the bottle in brooches, necklaces and earrings.

Precious stones are suspended like a cascade over many of the creations in this line. It is one of the cases of the 'Nº5 Abstraction' necklace. This follows the ideal pattern of combining two tones. Highlights are those pear-shaped diamond and pink morganite 'tears' that flow throughout the necklace. All of them refer to the small and delicate drops of perfume.

But it doesn't stop there, the 'Bubbly Stopper' bracelet in white and yellow gold is set with a 47.06-carat emerald-cut imperial topaz. A color reminiscent of the amber notes of the fragrance. Chanel, in this model, has wanted to rely on the aroma and color so characteristic of Nº5.

This collection is completed with a wide variety of rings and bracelets. They follow the trail of the fragrance and the number '5'. In this case, the rings are responsible for representing the number that is so symbolic for the French fashion house. Sensuality and sophistication run through all those creations that evoke and highlight the long history of the legendary Nº5.
