Portugal's best foamy is from Bairrada

Within the D.O.Bairrada is the Varietal Baga that provides identity and singularity. While it is not an example of this, the award -winning above, we take the opportunity to make a brief reference to this Tanic ink, which is the baga and the great complexity that comes to show in the hands of the best wine growers and winemakers in this Atlantic region.

When the Baga grape reaches its maturity can produce structured, complex and fruity wines with raspberry aromas and smoked touch, marked acidity, firm tannins and great potential for aging. It is common that they age extremely well and reach a unique bouquet of honey, smoke and spices. In addition to this variety, the D.O.It also includes national and other international touriga inks such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

Bairrada also produces white wines, from easy to drink aromatic styles to the most complex with some creaminess and marked mineral and citrus notes.Traditionally they are produced mostly from the Arinto, Bical, Crecial and Maria Gomes grapes, although they can also include international varieties such as the Chardonnay or the Sauvignon Blanc.

And the sparkling of Bairrada are famous, in fact it is the region with the greatest national foamy production.Spaminess that ferment in the bottle for the traditional method and in which the coupage abounds that forms the trio of the Chardonnay with the baga and the floral and moscated María Gomes.Or only sparkling reds often that harmonized with the star dish of the area, the famous Bairrada pig.
