The 500 km/h car

Watches, works of art, designer bags, yachts, houses...there are many luxury items that millions of people sigh for but are only within the reach of a few. Also cars, classics or sports cars, capable of turning the gaze of anyone in its path, distinguishing it only by the roar of its engine and making you feel unique sensations when you sit inside it.

Some privileged people have the opportunity to attend different specialized motoring events in which the latest models are presented and the few models that are made available to the World of vehicles whose speed impresses as much or more than their price are put up for sale. One of these events is the Monterey Car Week in Mexico, where an exclusive Ferrari parade took place or the presentation of what aspires to be the fastest car on the planet, a vehicle that exceeds 500 km/h.

The desired machine, of which only 24 pieces are going to be produced and all of which have already been sold at a price of 1.8 million euros, is the Hennessey Venom F5, an American sports car that has been raising unusual expectations among lovers of all four wheels and whose 'creator' has already anticipated that he has no intention of repeating it given the complexity involved in taming so much power in such a light and sophisticated design.

Because this Hennessey Venom F5, the 500 km/h car, has its monstrous 1,817 horsepower 6.6 V8 engine and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h, in 4.7 seconds, from 0 to 300 km/h in just 8.4 seconds, and from 0 to 400 km/h in 15.5 seconds. How long will it take to reach 500 km/h? Therein lies the great unknown, which will have to be revealed in the coming months when Hennessey uses the Kennedy Space Center's runway and its more than five kilometers of track to try to obtain the speed record.

This beastly engine contrasts with a lightweight chassis with a carbon fiber cabin and bodywork and an aluminum roof to complete a curb weight of 'only' 1,385 kg.

The list of fastest cars on the planet so far is headed by the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport300 and the SSC Tuatara, which approach 500 km/h, while the fastest Hennessey is the Performance Engineering, which reaches 435 km/h. h.
